Remote (Must reside in TX, AZ, KY, TN, GA, SC, NC, FL) | Systems Analyst – GIS & Cloud Modernization | Contract Opportunity

CornerStone Technology Talent Services is partnering with an enterprise organization undergoing a major GIS modernization initiative and is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with deep expertise in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, Azure cloud technologies, and enterprise GIS architecture. This is an opportunity to help modernize critical geospatial platforms by migrating legacy GIS environments to a scalable cloud-based architecture while supporting data modernization and enterprise integration initiatives.

What You'll Be Working On
You'll serve as a key technical resource supporting a large-scale modernization effort involving:
  • Migrating ArcGIS Enterprise from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure
  • Modernizing GIS environments and enterprise geospatial services
  • Migrating GIS data from Oracle to Azure SQL
  • Supporting enterprise data warehouse initiatives
  • Bridging business and technical teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Documenting system architecture, technical processes, and implementation strategies
  • Supporting long-term GIS platform stability, security, and scalability

This role requires someone who can work independently while collaborating across infrastructure, application development, GIS, cybersecurity, and data teams.
What We're Looking For Required Experience
  • 7+ years administering and supporting enterprise Esri ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
  • Strong experience managing GIS servers, web services, licensing, databases, and enterprise GIS environments
  • Experience supporting Azure-hosted infrastructure or cloud-based GIS platforms
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Enterprise GIS architecture
    • Geospatial data management
    • Cartographic standards
    • Spatial databases
  • Experience managing:
    • System performance
    • Security
    • User access
    • Backups
    • Upgrades
    • Patch management
  • Experience integrating GIS platforms with enterprise applications such as permitting, asset management, or similar business systems
  • Strong production support experience with root cause analysis and issue resolution
  • Experience creating technical documentation including:
    • Architecture diagrams
    • SOPs
    • Data governance documentation
    • Asset inventories
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
