Business Intelligence & Data Strategy Specialist Austin, TX 100% onsite
CornerStone TTS is partnering with an enterprise organization undergoing a major transformation in data analytics, business intelligence, and AI-enabled decision support. We are seeking a highly experienced Business Intelligence Specialist who can serve as both a technical leader and strategic advisor, helping organizations turn complex data into actionable business outcomes.

This is not a traditional reporting role. We're looking for someone who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex operational challenges into scalable analytics solutions while championing modern AI-driven approaches to data access, reporting, and decision-making.
What You'll Be Doing Strategic Data Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate complex business needs into actionable analytics solutions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise reporting, data strategy, and business intelligence initiatives.

  • Lead cross-functional discussions that align business objectives with data-driven outcomes.

  • Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure analytics solutions support strategic decision-making.
Business Intelligence & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data environments.

  • Analyze and synthesize data from multiple enterprise systems to uncover trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights.

  • Build and validate dashboards, scorecards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.

  • Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals.
AI-Enabled Data Solutions

  • Leverage modern AI tools and prompt engineering techniques to improve data accessibility and reporting efficiency.

  • Develop repeatable AI-assisted analytics processes, templates, and best practices.

  • Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, reliability, and business relevance.

  • Help establish responsible AI practices and governance standards within analytics workflows.
Data Governance & Quality

  • Promote data quality, stewardship, governance, and compliance best practices.

  • Partner with data engineering and architecture teams to resolve data challenges and improve information reliability.

  • Establish standards for reporting, validation, and data integrity across the organization.
Leadership & Enablement

  • Mentor analysts, business users, and stakeholders on data literacy and analytics best practices.

  • Deliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions that empower teams to make better use of data and AI technologies.

  • Serve as a key liaison between technical teams and non-technical business partners.
Project & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead initiatives utilizing Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Create project roadmaps, user stories, epics, requirements documentation, and project artifacts.

  • Drive successful delivery of enterprise analytics and business intelligence solutions.
What We're Looking For Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Data Strategy, Business Analysis, or related disciplines.

  • Advanced SQL expertise with extensive experience in data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Strong experience presenting technical findings to executive and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience creating enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Highly Desired Experience

  • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Business Intelligence architecture experience.

  • Technical project leadership experience across Agile and traditional delivery frameworks.

  • Experience serving as a primary analytics advisor for business stakeholders.

  • Data governance, master data management, and data quality expertise.

  • Experience mentoring teams and promoting data literacy initiatives.

  • Experience leveraging AI technologies, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted analytics platforms.

  • Python, Streamlit, or other tools used to create AI-enabled reporting and analytics solutions.

  • Experience operating within highly regulated industries such as healthcare, government, financial services, insurance, or similar environments.
