Coupa Solution Architect – Source-to-Pay Transformation
Remote (Must reside in TX, AZ, KY, TN, GA, SC, NC, FL) | Occasional Travel
About the Opportunity
CornerStone Technology Talent Services (TTS) is partnering with a large enterprise organization to identify an accomplished Coupa Solution Architect to lead complex Source-to-Pay transformation initiatives across a global Coupa environment.

This is a highly strategic, techno-functional architecture role for someone who has moved well beyond configuring individual Coupa modules and can design the broader ecosystem—connecting procurement strategy, platform architecture, enterprise integrations, data, analytics, AI capabilities, and business operating models.

The ideal candidate has led large-scale Coupa implementations and transformation programs, understands procurement from both a business and technology perspective, and is comfortable advising senior business and IT leaders on how the platform should evolve.

This opportunity is especially well suited for a Coupa architect who has worked within Retail, Consumer Products/CPG, Fashion/Apparel, or Manufacturing environments and understands the complexity of global Source-to-Pay operations.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Coupa Solution Architect, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end solution architecture across the Coupa platform and broader Source-to-Pay ecosystem.

  • Define scalable, secure, and high-performing Coupa architecture aligned with enterprise business and technology strategy.

  • Translate complex procurement requirements into practical platform, process, data, and integration designs.

  • Architect solutions across multiple Coupa capabilities, including:

    • Coupa Core

    • Strategic Sourcing

    • Coupa Sourcing Optimization (CSO)

    • Contract Lifecycle Management

    • Supplier Information Management

    • Risk and Performance Management

    • Category Strategy

    • AI-enabled procurement capabilities

    • Contract Intelligence

    • Advanced Analytics

  • Lead architecture for enterprise integrations using APIs, middleware, and file-based/CSV integration patterns.

  • Design integrations between Coupa and enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.

  • Guide global implementations, phased deployments, platform expansion, and modernization initiatives.

  • Develop product roadmaps and deployment strategies that balance immediate business priorities with long-term platform scalability.

  • Advise business leaders on procurement transformation, Source-to-Pay strategy, process optimization, and future-state operating models.

  • Identify opportunities to apply AI, machine learning, automation, and intelligent classification within procurement processes.

  • Establish architecture standards, design principles, integration patterns, and implementation best practices.

  • Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, analytics, strategic reporting, and business cases.

  • Use procurement and platform data to identify opportunities for operational improvement and measurable business value.

  • Partner closely with procurement, finance, technology, architecture, integration, data, and executive leadership teams.

  • Present recommendations, architectural decisions, roadmaps, risks, and transformation strategies to senior and C-level stakeholders.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the lifecycle of major procurement technology initiatives.
What We're Looking For
The strongest candidates will bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive enterprise technology, procurement transformation, or Coupa implementation experience.

  • Significant hands-on experience designing and architecting enterprise-scale Coupa solutions.

  • Deep understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes, procurement operating models, and procurement transformation.

  • Strong functional and technical knowledge across multiple Coupa modules rather than experience limited to a single area.

  • Proven experience architecting integrations between Coupa, ERP platforms, and other enterprise applications.

  • Strong understanding of:

    • REST APIs

    • Middleware/integration platforms

    • CSV and file-based integrations

    • Enterprise data flows

    • Integration architecture

  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred.

  • Experience leading global implementations, complex rollouts, or enterprise digital transformation programs.

  • Strong Retail, CPG, Consumer Goods, Fashion/Apparel, or Manufacturing industry experience.

  • Experience developing technology roadmaps and translating business strategy into platform architecture.

  • Understanding of emerging AI/ML applications within procurement and Source-to-Pay environments.

  • Strong analytical ability with experience developing KPIs, executive dashboards, strategic reports, and data-driven business cases.

  • Executive-level communication and consulting skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex technical architecture to both technical teams and non-technical business leaders.
Required Coupa Certifications
Candidates should possess the following Coupa certifications:

  • Coupa Platform Certification

  • Coupa Supplier Information Management (SIM)

  • Coupa CSO Certification

  • Coupa Sourcing Certification

  • Coupa CLMA Certification

Additional Coupa certifications, including Procure-to-Pay System Administrator or Coupa Core Implementation Specialist, are highly valued.
The Profile That Will Stand Out
We are especially interested in professionals who can demonstrate that they have personally owned architectural decisions rather than simply participated in Coupa implementations.

You should be able to speak comfortably about topics such as:

  • How you architected a complex Coupa ecosystem

  • How Coupa integrated with SAP or other enterprise platforms

  • How you approached global or phased deployments

  • How you designed Source-to-Pay processes across multiple Coupa modules

  • How you addressed scalability, data, integration, security, and performance

  • How you advised procurement leadership on future-state operating models

  • How you used analytics, automation, or AI to improve procurement outcomes

  • How you communicated architectural strategy and business value to executive stakeholders
