.NET Software Developer

Type: Contract
Location: Austin, TX 78751
Work Setting: Hybrid

Please note: Only local candidates will be considered. Candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas will not be considered. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced .NET Software Developer to join a collaborative software development team responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications. This position requires experience throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application development, testing, production support, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, UX designers, business analysts, systems analysts, technical support teams, and project leadership to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, and modify complex computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes, and scripts using Angular, C#, ASP.NET, and Oracle Database

• Perform testing activities including test data creation, test script development, test execution, result analysis, debugging, and defect resolution

• Participate in code reviews and ensure compliance with established development, documentation, and testing standards

• Modify and enhance existing applications and support implementation of new systems

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve production issues and system defects

• Collaborate with trainers, technical support staff, network specialists, and other technical resources to support application delivery and maintenance

• Analyze requirements for new applications and system enhancements

• Work closely with software development team members to coordinate development efforts and provide project status updates

• Assist with the development and maintenance of technical and system documentation

Candidate Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

7 Required Experience in computer programming, analysis and development of complex business processes and system solutions

7 Required Experience in coding, testing, and debugging of programs that are in development and/or requiring support for issue resolution, performance or enhancement

7 Required Ability to process information logically; to design programs and systems logic; to prepare program specifications

7 Required Highly developed oral and written communications skills

7 Required High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others motivate employee and elicit work output

7 Required Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology industry trends, directions and market experience; ability to relate them to own organization

7 Required Knowledge of architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information, applications, organizational structure, etc.

7 Required Knowledge of emerging technologies (new to company systems as well as those that are new to the information systems industry)

7 Required Knowledge of tools, techniques and good practices for protecting the integrity of corporate data and associated processing, company technology practices, standards and procedures

7 Required Knowledge of solution delivery utilizing Agile or Scrum methodology

2 Preferred Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologies

2 Preferred Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional and local software architecture and infrastructure components
