Senior SQL Server Developer (Tableau) Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite/Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract (12 months) Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL Server Developer with strong Tableau reporting experience to support data-driven initiatives within a fast-paced environment. This role will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions while enabling reporting and analytics capabilities.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SQL Server development, data modeling, and performance tuning, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server database objects including tables, views, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
Optimize and tune complex SQL queries to improve performance and efficiency
Develop and support data models and database design for scalable solutions
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting and data requirements
Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports to support business insights
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving data-related issues
Work within development teams to support project delivery and enhancements
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (no substitutions)
7+ years of experience developing database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, functions)
5+ years of experience with SQL query performance tuning
5+ years of experience in data modeling and database design
2+ years of experience with Tableau reporting and dashboard development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience supporting enterprise-level data platforms
Work Environment
Onsite or hybrid work arrangement in Charlotte, NC
