GIS Analyst

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration: November 2025 September 2026 (Contract)

Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday, 8: 00 AM 5: 00 PM




Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Analyst for a contract assignment running through September 2026. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in geospatial data editing, land record interpretation, and GIS database management. You ll play an important part in maintaining, updating, and verifying property-related datasets while supporting a variety of ongoing geospatial projects.




Responsibilities:
  • Verify, update, and maintain databases for property records, leases, and related datasets.
  • Conduct document research, upload and enter data into geodatabases, and perform quality control on GIS datasets.
  • Geocode properties using GIS tools and update attribute records to ensure accuracy.
  • Support visualization applications to display property and lease data.
  • Create boundary features (easements, ROWs) from KMZ/shapefile data and survey exhibits using ArcGIS Pro.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining GIS records for mineral management leases and facility features.
  • Maintain GIS features related to fuel sites and ensure data integrity across all assigned datasets.
  • Perform additional GIS data maintenance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Geography, GIS, Public Administration, Planning, Real Estate, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of GIS data editing experience.
  • 2+ years interpreting land records and legal descriptions.
  • 1+ year of data input and data quality control.
  • Experience with ArcGIS COGO and related tools for creating polygon boundaries.

Preferred (not required):
  • Easement/ROW Agent license.
  • Experience with property lease management, mineral management, or oil & gas leases.
  • GIS database management experience.
