Senior Business Analyst (Healthcare IT) Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid Preferred) Position Type: Contract (18–24 Months) Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead business analysis efforts for enterprise healthcare technology initiatives. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, develop user stories, and ensure successful delivery of medium-to-large IT projects.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong business analysis expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements. Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with SaaS applications are highly valued. Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
Lead requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop business requirements, functional specifications, workflows, and user stories.
Translate business objectives into actionable technical solutions.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions to build consensus.
Project Delivery
Support medium-to-large enterprise IT projects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business users to ensure successful project execution.
Assist with project planning, issue resolution, risk identification, and change management.
Coordinate project activities across multiple functional teams.
SaaS & Systems Support
Analyze, configure, and troubleshoot Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.
Evaluate business needs and recommend system enhancements.
Support testing, validation, and implementation activities.
Assist with production issue resolution and system improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with business leaders and technical teams.
Present recommendations and project updates to stakeholders.
Ensure business requirements align with organizational goals.
Provide guidance throughout project implementation and post-deployment support.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of Business Analyst or related experience.
5+ years leading business analysis activities on medium-to-large IT projects.
5+ years facilitating requirements gathering sessions.
5+ years creating user stories and functional documentation.
5+ years working across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
5+ years managing projects through successful completion.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Experience configuring, analyzing, and troubleshooting SaaS applications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
