Job Summary
The IT Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between the Innovation & Technology department and internal business departments. This position is responsible for strengthening customer relationships, aligning technology services with departmental needs, and improving satisfaction with IT products, services, and support.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a passion for technology and a demonstrated ability to build lasting partnerships with customers, stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams. This role gathers and analyzes customer feedback, identifies opportunities for improvement, and coordinates initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience.
Essential Functions

  1. Plan, organize, and develop communication campaigns, customer engagement initiatives, and technology training programs.

  2. Develop training materials, presentations, communications, and related program resources.

  3. Conduct or coordinate training sessions with internal staff, subject-matter experts, and outside consultants.

  4. Partner with departments to understand operational needs, identify technology requirements, and align IT products and services with customer expectations.

  5. Build and maintain productive relationships between Innovation & Technology and the departments it supports.

  6. Monitor, analyze, and report on customer satisfaction metrics, service performance, and stakeholder feedback.

  7. Identify trends, service gaps, recurring concerns, and opportunities to improve IT service delivery and the customer experience.

  8. Develop and recommend strategies for addressing customer needs and improving satisfaction with IT products and services.

  9. Identify issues, practices, or departmental requests that may conflict with Innovation & Technology standards, organizational policies, security requirements, or operational priorities.

  10. Coordinate departmental responses, facilitate discussions, and assist with resolving service delivery or customer relationship concerns.

  11. Conduct special projects, research, and analysis as assigned.

  12. Coordinate project-related activities with departments, IT teams, vendors, external agencies, and other stakeholders.

  13. Attend and participate in local and state professional meetings, committees, and industry groups.

  14. Stay informed of emerging technology trends, IT service management practices, customer experience strategies, and innovations in information technology.

  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management Systems, Project Management, Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field, plus at least three years of progressively responsible professional-level experience.

An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may also be considered.

One year of relevant professional experience may be substituted for each year of required education.

IT service delivery models and customer-focused technology support.

Service-level agreements and operating-level agreements.

Customer satisfaction metrics, service performance measures, and feedback analysis.

Customer relationship management principles and practices.

Data privacy laws and compliance requirements related to customer data handling.

Research, data analysis, and evaluation methods.

Technology service delivery and continuous improvement practices.
Required Skills
Candidates must demonstrate skill in:

Applying IT service delivery, customer relationship management, research, and analytical principles in a professional environment.

Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal departments, IT teams, vendors, external agencies, and other stakeholders.

Developing and delivering professional communications, presentations, training materials, and customer engagement programs.

Gathering, interpreting, and presenting customer feedback and service performance data.

Facilitating discussions involving technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Managing multiple projects, priorities, and customer needs simultaneously.

Exercise sound judgment when addressing customer concerns, policy conflicts, service issues, and competing departmental priorities.
Special Requirements
TOC-D Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
