Project-Based IT Deployment Technician (Short-Term Assignment)
Location: Fort Worth, TX (Onsite – First Command campus)
Duration: Two separate 2-week project phases
Start Date: July 30, 2026
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $23/hr. 

Project Overview
First Command Financial Services is undergoing a multi-week office renovation. This project requires hands-on IT support to assist with the coordinated removal, transport, setup, and reinstallation of end-user equipment across approximately 100 workstations. Contractors will support two distinct phases of the renovation: the initial takedown and temporary workspace setup, followed by the final move-back and reinstallation at project close.

Associates must be available for both project phases, separated by several weeks, and comfortable with schedule flexibility as construction timelines may shift slightly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Disconnect and remove end-user IT equipment including monitors, docking stations, keyboards, and mice

  • Carefully transport equipment between buildings and designated work areas

  • Reinstall and reconnect equipment at temporary workstations and final locations

  • Ensure proper cable management and clean workstation setups

  • Perform basic connectivity checks to confirm equipment is functioning after setup

  • Follow documented processes and onsite direction from First Command IT leadership

  • Maintain a professional, security-conscious presence in a corporate financial environment

Required Experience & Skills

  • Prior hands-on experience with desktop hardware deployment, refresh projects, or office moves

  • Familiarity with standard corporate IT equipment (dual monitors, docking stations, peripherals)

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment throughout the workday

  • Strong attention to detail and care when handling hardware

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to commit fully to both project phases

  • Comfortable working onsite in a structured corporate setting

  • This is a short-term, project-based assignment tied specifically to renovation milestones

  • Flexibility is required, as timelines may adjust slightly based on construction progress
