Senior IT Project Manager (Onsite – Austin, TX)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex technology initiatives focused on modernizing legacy analytics and reporting platforms. This role will manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to deliver data and analytics solutions using modern architectures and Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate brings deep IT project management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to operate in highly regulated environments.
Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end IT projects using established project management methodologies
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk logs
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Track progress, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Communicate project status, issues, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and well-maintained
• Support vendor engagement and procurement-related activities as needed
• Drive alignment across technical and business teams
• Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of IT project management experience
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives
• Strong understanding of software development and project management lifecycles
• Hands-on experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project risks
• Active PMP certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting data, analytics, or reporting platforms
• Background in healthcare, public sector, or highly regulated environments
• Experience managing distributed or matrixed teams
• Strong documentation and process-driven mindset
