Quality Assurance Analyst (IBM Curam)

Type: Long-Term Contract
Location: Columbia, SC 29201
Work Setting: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Candidate Location: Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina. No relocation is available.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to support enterprise software initiatives within a large public-sector environment. This position will focus on quality assurance, test planning, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and application validation for complex business systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing test strategies, executing test cases, identifying software defects, and partnering with development teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

  • Perform functional, regression, usability, and negative testing.

  • Validate software functionality, reliability, and stability.

  • Document defects, testing results, and quality assurance activities.

  • Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.

  • Support software testing governance, standards, and best practices.

  • Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, and quality assessments.

  • Maintain defect tracking and testing documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and testing scenarios.

  • 3+ years building and executing test cases within testing environments.

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience testing IBM Curam software.

  • Experience communicating testing status, documenting defects, and reporting issues to development teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field (or an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting large enterprise or e-business systems.

  • Healthcare operations experience, preferably Medicaid.

  • Experience with Atlassian tools including JIRA and Confluence.

  • Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile software development environments.

  • Public-sector experience.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Quality Assurance professional with experience testing enterprise applications, developing comprehensive test plans, and working closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Experience with IBM Curam and healthcare or Medicaid systems is highly desirable.

  • Candidates must currently reside in South Carolina.

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote in Columbia, SC.

  • No relocation available.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
