Technical Business Analyst

Type: Long-term Contract
Location: Boston, MA
Work Setting: Hybrid


Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support a rapidly growing Aesthetics-focused business unit within a leading organization. This opportunity will bridge business needs and technical solutions, driving data quality, reporting enhancements, and system improvements across multiple platforms.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, data, and technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with IT and cross-functional business teams to gather and document business requirements

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for vendors and implementation teams

  • Collaborate with teams supporting CRM, loyalty programs, contracts/pricing, sales force effectiveness (SFE), and incentive compensation (IC)

  • Assess current systems and processes to improve data quality, architecture, and data modeling

  • Ensure data accuracy across CRM, Sales, ERP, and related systems

  • Review technical documentation including data flows, process flows, and user stories

  • Lead software enhancement initiatives and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • Develop and support automated dashboards and reporting using SQL, Power BI, and Tableau

  • Deliver data-driven insights to improve operational effectiveness and product adoption


Required Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in:

    • Business requirements analysis

    • Data analysis and business intelligence

    • Data modeling

  • Strong experience working in pharmaceutical, dermatology, or healthcare-related industries preferred

  • Expert-level SQL skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools

  • Experience working with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks (Lakehouse architecture preferred)

  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) processes

  • Experience working within Agile environments
