Telephony Technician (Cisco Collaboration / CUCM) Location: Hybrid Position Type: Contract (6 Months with Potential Extension) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Overview We are seeking an experienced Telephony Technician to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise voice, video, and data communication systems.
This role is ideal for a telecommunications professional with experience supporting Cisco Collaboration technologies, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), and enterprise voice infrastructure. The successful candidate will assist with system implementations, upgrades, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting while ensuring reliable communication services across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Unified Communications Support
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise voice and collaboration systems
Support Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environments
Configure and maintain IP telephony devices and voice services
Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and hardware replacements
Telecommunications Infrastructure
Support enterprise voice, video, and data communication systems
Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues
Perform system testing, diagnostics, and repairs
Maintain communication system reliability and availability
Installation & Maintenance
Install and configure telecommunications equipment and endpoints
Perform preventive maintenance and routine system updates
Troubleshoot connectivity, call quality, and hardware issues
Coordinate equipment deployments and replacements
Technical Support
Respond to telecommunications incidents and service requests
Diagnose and resolve voice, video, and network-related issues
Escalate complex issues when necessary
Document work performed and maintain accurate service records
Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain network diagrams, system documentation, and configuration records
Work closely with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and IT support staff
Participate in planning and implementing telecommunications projects
Follow established operational procedures and change management processes
Required Qualifications
1-4 years of telecommunications or unified communications experience
