CornerStone Technology Talent Services is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst – Data & Reporting to support a large-scale technology and reporting modernization initiative.

This is not a traditional process-only Business Analyst position. We are looking for someone who understands data, reporting, requirements, and business systems and can work directly with technical teams and business stakeholders to analyze complex reporting needs, identify data issues, document data flows, and help deliver modern reporting solutions.

The ideal candidate brings deep Business Analysis experience combined with hands-on knowledge of Power BI, Snowflake, report development, data validation, and UAT. Experience working with legacy or mainframe reporting environments is highly valuable.
What You'll Do

  • Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject-matter experts to gather, analyze, and document complex business and reporting requirements

  • Translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements for data and reporting solutions

  • Analyze existing reports, extracts, data sources, and business processes to identify modernization opportunities

  • Support the transition of legacy and mainframe-based reporting into modern reporting and data platforms

  • Perform data analysis and root-cause analysis to identify discrepancies, errors, and reporting issues

  • Document data flows, mappings, business rules, reporting logic, and dependencies

  • Work with Snowflake data environments to support reporting, validation, and analytical requirements

  • Develop, enhance, or support reports and dashboards using Power BI

  • Validate report outputs and underlying data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements

  • Facilitate requirements sessions, workshops, and discussions between business and technology teams

  • Develop test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) documentation

  • Coordinate and support UAT activities through issue resolution and final business acceptance

  • Support implementation, training, documentation, and change-management activities

  • Assist with publishing and presenting data through internal, external, and open-data platforms

  • Produce clear, consistent documentation using established Business Analysis methodologies and standards

  • Manage multiple related initiatives while working with a high degree of independence and ownership
What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting complex technology initiatives

  • Extensive experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements

  • Strong background in reporting requirements and report development

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to design technology and reporting solutions

  • Strong understanding of data analysis, data validation, data flows, data mapping, and data quality

  • Experience performing root-cause analysis related to data or reporting discrepancies

  • 2+ years of Snowflake experience

  • 2+ years of Power BI experience

  • Significant experience developing and supporting UAT, implementation, and user training activities

  • Ability to translate complex technical and data concepts into clear documentation for business audiences

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Ability to work independently across multiple interrelated projects with limited supervision
Highly Desirable

  • Experience with SQL and querying relational or cloud-based data platforms

  • Experience modernizing legacy or mainframe reports and extracts

  • Experience with data migration, data lineage, ETL, or reporting modernization initiatives

  • Experience publishing data to external-facing websites or open-data platforms

Position Overview

This is not a general data engineering opportunity. The selected professionals must bring deep, hands-on Databricks experience and be able to independently deliver production-grade pipelines, lakehouse architectures, data models, governance controls, dashboards, and analytical applications.
